About Community

O’Connor Pyne & Co is very focused on corporate social responsibility and has an ongoing programme of charitable fundraising for various local and national charities. The firm annually supports the Chartered Accountants breakfast for Daffodil Day and this year raised over €1,000 for the Irish Cancer Society by holding a cake sale. The firm annually sponsors The Ring of Beara Children’s Cycle and carries out fundraising for Cork Simon and Marymount Hospice throughout the year. In December 2018 each staff member of the firm purchased a toy for a child as part of the St Vincent de Paul “Giving Tree” donation. The firm also donated food to Cork Penny Dinners. The firm raised approx. €1,000 for Cork Simon by holding a Christmas Jumper Day on the 21st December 2018 The firm is involved with Barnardos and keeps a collection box at reception. Supporting local talent and traditional Irish mythology, O’Connor Pyne & Co. were proud sponsors of the Children of Lir concert in the Cork Opera House in 2018.

Oriel Lawton

Partner

Oriel is a qualified Chartered Accountant having graduated with an Honours degree in Finance from University College Cork in 2005. Since joining O’ Connor Pyne & Co. Limited in September 2005 she has become experienced in the areas of audit, tax and company law. Oriel also has experience in dealing with Solicitors, Auctioneers, Insurance Companies, Credit Unions and large group audits. Oriel currently manages a portfolio of over 150 clients and was made a Partner of the firm in May 2015.
